Wedding Day ‘Forget Me Nots’

Planning your wedding can be hectic, so it is important to choose an experienced team. To make planning easier on our couples, we have sat down and collected the most commonly missed items.

Sparklers:

Who doesn’t love a special exit?! We sure do! Although everyone plans on ending their night with a little bit of light, this is a highly-missed item. Make sure that your sparklers are purchased and ready to go. Don’t forget to get the correct length – we recommend 20” sparklers- and the correct amount based on your guest count.

Day of Contact:

Make sure you have a day of contact that isn’t yourself. Your wedding day is important, and you shouldn’t be bothered by the little things. Here are some suggestions on what the day of contact should be responsible for:

Bringing any last minute décor – we always recommend bringing décor to the rehearsal

Understanding your vision, in case there are any last minute questions about décor placement

Bringing your marriage license

Packing your bag, so it is ready after your grand exit

Knowing how to bustle your dress – they can assist your event manager with bustling

Driving the car that will take your décor after your wedding

Toast:

Cheers! A toast and champagne go hand-and-hand, however not everyone drinks. Sparkling cider is a good alternative choice for those who are under 21 and don’t drink. In our experience, sparkling wine and cider is commonly forgotten. With a champagne pouring service, your servers individually ask each guest if they would like champagne for your toast. When, sparkling wine or cider is an option, everyone can join in on raising their glasses.

Final Seating Chart Numbers:

When you meet with your Event Manager thirty days before the wedding, they will create your table layout based on your contracted guest count. It is important to give your Event Manager your final seating chart as soon as it is solidified. This way, they can adjust your layout accordingly to prevent any empty table settings and keep your pictures beautiful!

Preparation:Getting ready is a whole other ball game! The most commonly missed items made by our couples is always in the getting ready stage.

Brides:

Always have a day of kit ready that includes: sewing equipment, bobby pins, safety pins, hairspray, aspirin, eye drops and hair ties.

Grooms:

Get your pocket square professional folded. Your Event Manager can fold this for you, but Men’s Warehouse and Jos A Bank are the experts. These stores usually do this service for free as well!
