A Little Something Blue

 

“Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.” We have all heard this traditional saying hundreds of times, but do you know the meaning? Historically, this saying was a superstition of luck for the bride and the groom’s future together. Below are some unique ways to incorporate your something blue into your special day:

Locket with Blue Ribbon. Hide a small locket under your dress or in your bouquet with pictures of family members that can not be present at the wedding.

Blue Shoes. What girl doesn’t like a cute pair of shoes! Even if your wedding colors are not blue, this is a fun way to add a pop of color.

“I do, Me too.” These shoe decals are so cute! And would make a super cute picture opportunity.

Special Shoe Wishes. Have immediate family members and/or bridal party members write a special note in blue.

 Blue Hair Pin. Again, even if your wedding color is not blue, a small unique blue hair pin, looks so elegant.

Blue Hankie. Have your new initials monogrammed on a handkerchief, or your wedding date embroidered in blue to carry down the aisle.

Blue Flower Belt. Love the idea of a unique blue floral belt to add a pop of color to your dress.
