I recently came across this article on Loverly. I think it is a fabulous article. It gives helpful information to couples, and the tools to ask the right questions when visiting venues. Although many venues do have additional fees that will (or should) be outlined in their contract, we here at Venue at the Grove strive to be very up front and practical in our pricing. If you haven’t read this article yet, you should, and if you have, I’d like to walk through some of these fees that are applicable at Venue at the Grove.

Taxes – There is a 2.6% tax assessed with all ceremony and reception costs, and an 8.3% tax on all other services (catering, vendors, additional rentals, etc.)

Gratuity – We do not add gratuity on to any of our packages. We feel that it is up to the bride and groom to decide the amount to tip each vendor. Tipping guides can easily be found on several major wedding websites.

Cake Cutting – When using Ensemble Catering, our in-house caterer, cake cutting is included.

Rentals – All of our ceremony and reception packages include tables, chairs, and basic linens. When using Ensemble Catering, a plate, fork, knife, water goblet, toasting flute, and napkin are included.

For additional detailed information on these items, please contact us for pricing information here, or join us at one of our weekly Wednesday Open Houses. We look forward to meeting you and giving you a tour of our beautiful property.
