Floral Inspired Bridesmaids

April 1st, 2017

Spring is such an inspiring time! Everything is fresh and new, light and airy. It’s the perfect wedding season, and the perfect time to show off your wedding style. One style trend we are loving right now is floral bridesmaid dresses. They fit so well with a Spring themed wedding, and can really fit any style.

Pick a floral dress that is water colored or abstract for a modern look.

Pick a floral dress that is earthy and flowy for a bohemian look.

If vintage is more your speed, then mismatch floral bridesmaid dresses made from vintage fabric.

And lastly, if retro is the look you are trying to achieve, pick a short, A-line floral dress.

Now with all this being said, you do need to be careful with a pattered bridesmaid dress. The last thing you want when you look back at pictures is to only see the bold bridesmaids and not the bride. A few things to remember if you are planning on having floral bridesmaid dresses:

1. Pick colors that complement your wedding colors.

2. Pick floral patterns that are either small or large, but not both. . . with large and small florals the pattern can be too confusing to the eye.

3. Pick dress styles that are flattering on your bridesmaids. The last thing you want is for your girls to look like they are wearing a parachute in a bold pattern.

4. Pick simple flower bouquets so they do not clash with the dresses.

Follow these steps and you are sure to have a fashion forward Spring inspired wedding look. And don’t forget, you can add coordinating floral ties and colors for the groomsmen.

Happy Spring!
