Funning Up Your Cocktail Hour – Yard Games
If you haven’t been to Venue at the Grove for a tour of our property, it is a MUST! Not only do we have a gorgeous ceremony area nestled under a grove of pecan trees, but we have an elegant barn area for your cocktail reception following the ceremony. We also have a bistro lit paver patio for an outdoor reception, or a gorgeous indoor hall if you choose. It is a breathtaking property, and something very unique to Phoenix.
One wedding trend to entertain guests after the ceremony during cocktail hour is yard games. While you are taking photos, and guests are enjoying a cocktail in our barn area, our lush grass area is a perfect place to host yard games. Now, we have all seen corn hole and croquet, but what about some unique games like giant jenga and connect four? Yard games are the perfect way to have guests mingle and be entertained for the hour. They also offer an adorable photo opportunity for the bride and the groom.
Many of these games can be a fun DIY project for you and your significant other to make before the wedding. . . or delegate to a family member who is crafty. Etsy is also a great place to find handmade lawn games. You can even have them customized with your names and wedding date.
