Meet Our Photographers: Leslie Ann Photography
How long have you been a photographer?
Each of our lead photographers have more than 10 years experience photographing weddings specifically while the company has been in business for almost 24 years.
How did you get into photographing weddings?
It all started with a college friend of Leslie’s sister begging her to photograph their upcoming wedding because they couldn’t afford an experienced photographer. After weeks of begging, Leslie finally conceded stating “there are no guarantees you’ll like the photo as I’ve never photographed a wedding before”. Wedding day came and went and the couple LOVED their photos sending 5 other friends to Leslie for wedding photography… After the 6 weddings, Leslie decided to start an actual business and pursue it. That first wedding was October 14th, 2000.
What is your favorite part of a wedding day to photograph?
Each of our photographers find different parts of the day to be their favorite but I’d say the most consistent would be the Newlywed photos after the ceremony. There’s just so much joy, the nerves have dissipated and the couple is simply living in that moment more than any other part of the day.
What is the largest wedding party you have had the privilege of photographing?
LOTS! That I can remember the largest would have been 12 Bridesmaids, 12 Groomsmen, 6 flower girls and 3 ring bearers.
What drew you to Venue at the Grove?
Hands down it would be the atmosphere and values of the Venue at the Grove team members… the kindness, generosity and inclusion are just a few things we’ve experienced from the team. Not to mention the beautiful grounds.
Fun Fact: Tell us something that is fun or interesting about yourself or your company!
Leslie is an Arizona native having grown up on a dairy farm in Maricopa, AZ which my family still owns. She has almost completely remodeled her house all on her own and has a camper that she loves to jump in and head north whenever the schedule allows. The Leslie Ann Team all know and interact regularly with each other and have a great sense of camaraderie and practically treat each other like family… encouraging, teaching, assisting each other whenever needed and of course a little fun banter when it comes to Cannon vs Nikon.
