How long have you been a photographer?

– I’ve been a wedding photographer for four years now! 🙂 

How did you get into photographing weddings?

– I’ve always had a knack for photography! When my now husband and I were dating in college, I bought him a used DSLR camera off of a friend of mine and I ended up stealing it all the time to take my own photos. Since then, I had always mentioned here and there how much I loved photography and how cool that kind of job was. W

hen COVID hit, I was one of the many lay-offs from the company I was employed at.  About a week after I lost my job was my birthday, and my husband bought my very own DSLR camera with a message saying, it’s now or never – you’ve got this. And here we are! He now does videography for our business and I handle the photography! It’s been the most incredible and beautiful adventure!

What is your favorite part of a wedding day to photograph?

– That’s a tough one! I LOVE when the groom first sees the bride, it’s such a special moment! I also love the Father daughter dances, there’s just something so special about those moments that you just can’t replicate – I love that!

What is the largest wedding party you have had the privilege of photographing?

The largest wedding party I’ve had was 23 in total! 12 on the groom’s side and 11 on the bride’s side, it was A LOT of fun! 

What drew you to Venue at the Grove?

-I was recommended by Mary Kate! She was a bridesmaid at her friend’s wedding that I worked at and I still remember getting the email, BEST THING EVER! Fun fact, my husband and I toured here when we planned our wedding! We ultimately got married elsewhere, BUT I always felt that somehow, I would be back at this spectacular venue – and I was right! Truly, this partnership feels like a dream!

Fun Fact: Tell us something that is fun or interesting about yourself or your company!

–Our company is primarily run by me! But my husband also does videography for our business, so if you want us both there for your big day, we’re available! 🙂
