So You Don’t Think You Need A Wedding Coordinator?
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard a bride and groom say, “well, we really don’t need a wedding coordinator.” To me, this is one of the MOST important things (other than food and your undying love for each other) you need at your wedding.
We here at Venue at the Grove understand everyone is working with a wedding budget, so when you create yours, be sure to allow for a wedding coordinator OR allow Venue at the Grove to make things really easy on you, and book an all-inclusive package. Day of coordination is INCLUDED with our all-inclusive packages, and can also be added a la carte with ceremony and reception packages (insert happy dance here)!
Still not convinced, let’s talk about some of the reasons why a wedding coordinator is so important:
~ Setting Up Décor. I have personally witnessed mother of the bride’s and bridesmaids hot, sweaty, and exhausted before the wedding even starts because they were busy setting up décor. No fun for anyone. Let your wedding coordinator take care of this for you so everyone can enjoy the wedding.
~ Liaison with vendors. Who’s going to be the person to coordinate between catering, and the DJ, and officiant, etc. Believe me, this is a full time job behind the scenes of your wedding. You don’t want to have to put a family member or friend in charge of this and miss part of the wedding.
~ Herding the Wedding Party. Even with the best behaved wedding parties, trying to get lots of people to line up can be a challenge. Let your wedding coordinator gather everyone for the ceremony and grand entrance.
~ “Fire” Fighter. Even the most well planned weddings have a fire or two. . . most frequently is the guest that didn’t RSVP being in attendance, which means and extra seat to be found. Let a wedding coordinator handle that so you don’t have to.
