Thank You Card Inspiration

September 30th, 2017

Depending on your personality, sending thank you notes to your wedding guests may or may not be a priority. Etiquette says that you have up to a year after your wedding to send thank you notes out. In this day and age however, most wedding gifts are delivered before the wedding, which means thank you cards should be sent out sooner.

Sure, you have paid a lot of money for guests to come and celebrate with you, but your guests have also spent money to attend your wedding, and in most cases purchase a gift for you. And this is why, a thank you note should be sent. Now whether you make the deadline of sending the thank you out within the first year or not, is up to you.

Personally, I was always brought up to write thank you notes. No gift was too small for a proper snail mail thank you. Even today, I am teaching my son, who is 5, to write thank you notes. Now you may say, I have 200 guests, how am I ever going to write thank you notes for that many people?! Although a handwritten note is always nice, you could also simplify things a bit by sending a picture.

Below is some fun inspiration for bride and groom “thank you” pictures. From burlap, to wood, to wine bottles, and everything in between, these couples got creative on how to send a thank you to their guests.

Will you send out thank you notes to your guests?
