Can I confess something. . . . I am SO glad Pinterest was not around 9 years ago when I got married! For all of you currently planning your wedding, are you using Pinterest? I personally think I would have been so overwhelmed, and I also think there really is such a thing as too much inspiration.
What you absolutely do not want to do, is Pinterest search “wedding”. . . . this will lead to inspiration and information overload. However, there is a way to do “Pinterest” right.
The first thing you should NOT do after becoming engaged is booting up Pinterest. Enjoy time with your new fiancé, family, and friends. Then take some time to think about and discus as a couple what you want your wedding to look and feel like. Once you have the look and feel of your dream wedding written down, then you can go on Pinterest and explore your specific wedding vibe. This will help narrow down all the information.
Don’t get me wrong, Pinterest can be an AWESOME tool for your planning, but use it wisely, and be prepared before you jump down that rabbit hole.
