Unique Ring Bearer Ideas
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. A secret that wedding coordinators always keep to themselves. The secret is. . . . the adorable little ring bearer that walks down the aisle and gets guests “aww-ing” is NOT really carrying a ring! Are you shocked?!
If you are considering having a ring bearer, no matter what his age, I would highly recommend not having him actually carry the rings down. Give them to the maid of honor and best man to take care of for a couple of reasons:
- No matter how responsible your little man is, there is still a chance he could lose or drop the rings. Accidents happen, why chance it on your wedding day.
- Sometimes rings get tied so tightly to the pillow so that the ring bearer doesn’t drop them that they are terribly hard to get off, which leaves an awkward “dead” moment during the ceremony.
I certainly am not suggesting you don’t have a ring bearer! I love kids being involved in the wedding. I am just suggesting you have him walk down the aisle without the actual rings.
