Wedding Style Trend – Rustic
Have you been following our wedding trend blog posts? If not, you can read how to plan the perfect bohemian, modern, classic, and vintage wedding at Venue at the Grove HERE. In the mean time, let’s talk about rustic themed weddings. . .
I got married about 7 years ago . . . the rustic look was just coming into style, and I knew, getting married at a winery, I needed to have a rustic wedding full of burlap. I remember going to JoAnn Fabrics and custom ordering an obscene amount of burlap (this was before they carried much of it in their stores). The sweet employee laughed at me when I ordered 50 years of burlap. I think today, that same employee wouldn’t even bat an eye if this happened.
Naturally, when you think of a rustic wedding, you think of an outdoor wedding. You may also think of a barn, mason jars, burlap, cowboy boots, and lace. . . . and all of these things fit perfectly with Venue at the Grove. Gorgeous outdoor grounds and barn-check. All you need to so is supply the burlap and cowboy boots.
The rustic look is simple, which is great for so many reasons. First, you don’t really need to worry about a lot of cluttered details. Secondly, it can be quite cost effective. . . lots of reclaimed wood, mason jars, and other odds and ends you may even have around the house. Love the idea of using foraged flowers, or even baby’s breath to fill mismatched jars. . . . like getting married right on a farm.
Venue at the Grove is the perfect location for a rustic themed wedding. Come take a look for yourself at an Open House we hold every Wednesday from 6-8pm.
