Wedding Trends We Are Loving this Year!
- Having the wedding party seated during the ceremony. There are many reasons why this trend is catching on quickly! One being, everyone is seated and it creates a sense of togetherness for the guests as well as the wedding party. The bride and groom are the main focus of the day and they get to have their time standing in front of the arbor with their officiant, just the two of them. This trend also enhances the photography options. With not having to worry about how your wedding party is standing or if they are making a silly face, it can create better photo opportunities for the ceremony!
- Guest Color Palettes. This trend caught fire in 2023 and has stuck around and become more popular in 2024. Having guests stick to a specific color palette can really enhance all photos of your wedding day! This couple specifically chose to ask guests to wear black. Another option for attire is to choose a dress code that matches your wedding day theme! For example, if you are going for a rustic look, you can ask guests to dress western.
- Candid Cameras: The trend of having disposable film cameras is hot right now! For one, photos with film are very trendy. It’s a super cool way to capture those moments in film without breaking the bank. A common way we’ve seen couples use them is by placing them around cocktail hour, as well as at guest reception tables. Some couples have even created an “I Spy” game out of it! It’s also a super fun way to be able to look at your wedding later on through the lens of guests! It’s a great way to capture those fully candid moments.
- Vintage / Super 8 Film: This trend has been building up over the last year and is becoming super popular due to the comeback of the vintage aesthetic. The super 8 film can give that nostalgic feeling with the grainy texture and make your wedding day feel like a documentary. The vintage flash and editing can create timeless photos from your special day as well. Some of our other photography partners have options to add on the vintage flash to their photography package. Inquire each for more information once you are booked!
- Late Night Bites: This trend has been around for awhile, and is becoming one that is sticking around for the long haul! It’s such a fun touch to the end of the night for the guests that are dancing the night away to boost their energy and keep them going! Here is a link to the late night snack menu we offer here at the venue as an upgrade through Ensemble Catering. The most popular options are typically pretzel and cheese station, s’mores bar in the cooler months, and chicken and waffles!
